1. Delivery Areas
FurnitureOnline endeavours to deliver nation-wide in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia. At present we are unable to deliver to the Northern Territory and Tasmania. Some remote and regional cities also remain beyond our delivery capacity. To find out whether we deliver to your regional, rural or remote location simply email us your postcode, suburb, contact number and the item(s) of interest and we will source the most competitive delivery cost for you.
2. Delivery Times
Generally, our customers receive their order within 7-12 working days. However, Australia is a large nation and delivery times may vary depending on the items you order and your delivery location. You can expect most orders to Metro Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Perth to arrive within 7 to 12 working days. For rural, remote or regional area’s please to allow up-to 21 working days for deliveries. Please note that on rare occasions, there can be unexpected delays due to circumstances out of our control. In such case, we will notify you.
3. Delivery Cost
You can estimate the delivery cost of your order by simply adding the items to your cart before selecting the “Estimate Delivery” button that appears on the following page.
Sydney & Melbourne Metro – Free delivery*
Delivery is FREE for a limited time only on orders over $399. For orders under $399 there is a capped delivery fee of $59. That means you pay $59 or less for delivery of your items in Sydney and Melbourne metro. *All rugs incur a $10 delivery fee per rug.
Brisbane & Adelaide - $59 Capped Delivery
For a limited time, delivery to Brisbane and Adelaide metro will cost $59 or less. If you are unsure if your postcode falls within the metro zone, please use the “Estimate Delivery” tool once your item(s) have been placed in your cart or contact us with your query.
Delivery cost of furniture items in Perth vary depending on the item size. Please email us with your product interest and we will respond with an accurate delivery quote. Australia is a big place however and some areas remain beyond our delivery capacity delivery times and rates to regional areas vary greatly.
Delivery to major cities that are approximately within 100km from a capital will cost approximately $90. For example: Newcastle, Wollongong, Ballerat, Bendigo, Geelong, Sunshine Coast and many others. You can estimate the delivery cost of your order by simply adding the items to your cart before selecting the “Estimate Delivery” button that appears on the following page.
Regional, remote and rural areas
Deliveries to regional, rural, and remote areas vary greatly. Don’t despair, simply email us your postcode, suburb, contact number and item(s) of interest and we will find the most competitive delivery cost for you.
Delivery of rugs is $10 per rug to anywhere in Australia.
4. Delivery FAQ’s
How will my order be delivered?
We use couriers that are both convenient and cost-effective including Australia Post and other national distributors which is why we can offer competitive shipping rates.
All deliveries are kerbside — that is to your ground floor level front door. Please ensure that someone is available to sign for the delivery. Delivery does not include taking the items inside, upstairs or in lifts, item placement or removal of packaging. For large items, you might be required to assist the driver to carry items from the vehicle to the ground floor door of your home or building as per the requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety standards.
If you are in Sydney and Melbourne metro and you require your items to be taken to the room of choice, for an additional fee of $49, we'll provide a premium delivery service where two delivery persons will place your order in any room of your choice. Please call us on 1300 11 22 36 to arrange this service. Where more than 2 flights /first floor are required to be traversed, an additional fee will be charged in accordance with the delivery company terms and conditions. Please call our call centre to arrange this. Premium service does NOT cater to the carrying of items
As our courier partners vary from State to State, if you are located outside Sydney & Melbourne, please contact us prior to placing your order should you require any assistance with delivery to confirm availability of our premium delivery service.
Do I have to be home for the items to be delivered?
For all orders for which you have received formal tracking details, should you not be home, the driver will leave a card at your premises with a number to call to re-arrange delivery.
If you cannot be available to accept delivery, you can contact the courier directly to provide them with an “Authority to leave” the goods unattended. Should this be the case, neither Furniture Online nor the courier can be held liable for any loss, theft or damage to your item once delivered.
For all other orders, you will receive a call to confirm a delivery date and time frame. Please note a re-delivery charge of $49 will apply for all cancelled or missed deliveries.
Which days do you deliver and will I receive advance notice?
Deliveries are Monday to Saturday in Melbourne & Sydney metro only (Saturday deliveries require prior arrangement) during standard business hours, excluding public holidays.
For all other areas, deliveries are Monday to Friday during standard business hours, excluding public holidays.
Once you have placed your order, we will email you with a lead time to give you time to prepare. As we work with various courier partners including Australia Post, you will either receive a call or tracking details once your order is ready.
If you have any specific delivery requirements (including limited availability to accept delivery, delaying delivery etc.), please contact us prior to placing your order to discuss your options or leave a comment in the comment fields at checkout and we will contact you.
Can I pick up my goods?
Yes, we have two collection points as below. However please note the following conditions:
- If collecting yourself, a full proof of ID must be supplied at the point of collection. Goods will not be released until such identification has been received and verified.
- If you are issuing a courier or other person to collect on your behalf you will need to scan and email proof of your identification together with proof of the card on which the transaction was completed to email@example.com. You will also need to detail the identification of the courier or individual collecting the item.
- We reserve the right to refuse the collection of items by any person unable to provide such proof.
