Charles Eames noted all of the "fantastic things being made of wire." So they looked at developing a technique to mass-produce welding wire rods. This design was used to serve chanuyo, a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, to the likes of Charlie Chaplin and designer Isamu Noguchi.  Many iconic pieces resulted of this new technology, among them the Wire Base Side Table. This table remains popular today, a perfect example of the brilliant design aesthetic & skill that this dynamic duo possessed.
